Part I: Train Daily
Create an environment that reinforces the value of living authentically online and conduct training on what an authentic post looks like.
By setting expectations to your tribe that your company is one where people live authentically to attract others, you lay the groundwork for a strong culture.
Living authentically online can look very different to different people. The training programs you create are an incredible opportunity to highlight the different personalities of your promoters and share examples of how each chooses to live out your company’s culture.
Part II: Model Behaviours
The apps and mobile technology you develop can be configured to model the behaviors you’d like to see your members express as they authentically share your company online.
Predictive apps are one example of how companies will use technology to model how to send a text message or even how to post on social media to engage your friends and start a conversation to explore your products or services.
The data from the apps become a feedback loop to the company sharing exactly what kinds of content promoters are willing to share and identifying which messages actually create buyers.
Part III: Lead
Have you ever heard the phrase “Monkey see, monkey do”?
Your tribe sees you.
The actions you take personally online as a leader will be seen as ‘what is appropriate’ by your tribe and will be copied.
Check yourself and be honest about your own behaviors online. Are you an example for your members to follow?
By living out the same behaviors you are modeling for others, you create the framework for an authentic culture to thrive.
